The sitting experience
Many people have wondered and asked what it is like to have a reading. Well, first off, sitting for a reading should be a calm and freeing experience. What you get out of a reading is really up to you. Below are some suggestions for you to consider before you sit for a reading:
1. Please leave all expectations behind you:
Please understand that a sitter will receive what they "need" over what they "want". Sometimes people come with very specific people in mind that they want to communicate with. While many times this is doable, it is not always. You see, the medium cannot just demand a spirit to communicate. It is suggested that you hold a strong intention and even bring with you an item of the person who passed to increase the probability that they will come through.
2. Do not ask for your future to be told and laid out for you:
While the topic of future does sometimes come up, it is not wise for a medium to begin to prophecies future occurrences. The reason is that everyone comes with Free Will and can exercise free will at any time to change one's future. In fact, in England, telling of one's future is actually illegal.
3. Please do not offer up any information to the medium:
When a sitter begins to offer up information to the medium this is affectionately referred to as: "Feeding the Medium". Mediums should be very full from breakfast, lunch or dinner and do not need or require information to be just handed to the them. It is so much easier for us to have a clean slate without any biases or information to cloud our minds. Let us tell you!
4. Just relax and allow yourself to experience the experience:
When a sitter comes filled with anxieties, fears and worries they actually close themselves off to the spirit world. It is far better to just allow what is going to happen to happen and free flow. Let go and let God.
Remember all readings are personal and confidential.
